Erbusco, 28th September 2014 – On Sunday 28th September, Ca’ del Bosco will be representing Franciacorta excellence hosting the delegations of European Ministers of Agriculture. Ministers are in Milan for the informal Agrifish Council on the occasion of Italy’s six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union. As is customary at informal Agrifish Councils, the programme includes visits to places of special interest for the food, agriculture and wine sectors. The Consorzio per la tutela del Franciacorta picked out Ca’ del Bosco - officially selected by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture among wineries that indicated their availability - as a winery representative of the zone’s production and technology, and one that could welcome the delegations for a visit and gala dinner with tastings of Franciacorta wines and food products. Maurizio Zanella, president of the Consorzio per la tutela del Franciacorta, said: “This is an exceptional opportunity for our territory to present itself to a competent international audience comprising Europe’s twenty-eight agriculture ministers. Minister Maurizio Martina’s decision to bring his European colleagues to Franciacorta denotes great intuition, particularly as the Universal Exposition draws near”. Partnering the day-long event with the Consorzio per la tutela del Franciacorta are iconic Franciacorta chefs Stefano Cerveni and Vittorio Fusari, who will prepare a strictly zero-kilometre menu for the delegations and members of the press; pastry chef Giovanni Cavalleri, who will tempt guests with special Lombardy desserts; and the Italian Calvisius caviar, from the Bresciabased producer of excellence Agrottica Lombarda, which will feature in one of the dishes on the gala dinner menu. Needless to say, guests will have the opportunity to taste the finest Franciacortas from the territory’s most representative cellars.
